Product Description
The TDR-950L is very similar to the "regular" Collins TDR-950 Transponder. In fact, they even use the same faceplate.
The difference is that the "L" in TDR-950L stands for Low Power. Where the TDR-950 offers 250 watts of power, the TDR-950L has 140 watts. If this is sufficient for your flying, you can save some money with the "L" version, while still enjoying Collins quality.
The TDR-950L is a full featured transponder in a compact chassis. In fact, it has the shortest depth of all transponders, making it possible to install where other units simply won't fit. (Approximately 8.5" are required behind the instrument panel.)
The TDR-950L features:
- 4096 discrete codes
- Mode C compatibility
- TSO'd
You may also be interested in an Encoder to use with this TDR-950L. When installed with an Encoder, the TDR-950L will report both your position and altitude to ATC (Mode C).
