WAAS GPS Source

The foundation of any ADS-B solution is a WAAS GPS Source.  You need to know your exact position before you are able to transmit it to the rest of the ADS-B System.  Regular GPS position fixes are not sufficiently accurate, so it is a requirement to use a WAAS GPS.

If your flying would benefit from the "ILS-like" precision approaches enabled by a WAAS GPS, then you should consider installing a WAAS GPS Navigator.

If not, or it does not make economic sense to install a WAAS Navigator in your panel, we recommend you consider an ADS-B solution with an internal WAAS GPS.  (Please note that it is not generally possible to navigate using this remote WAAS GPS.)
