FACTORY NEW Avionics

We recognize that buying used avionics is not the right answer for every pilot in every situation. For example:

• In areas with rapid innovation and/or new requirements (such as ADS-B), the used avionics market does not offer compelling choices compared with Factory New avionics.

• Some radios are not available in sufficient quantity on the used avionics market. If you cannot wait for the next used radio to be located and certified, a Factory New radio may make more sense. This is the classic time vs. money trade-off.

• Low-cost items like a Blind Encoder are difficult to justify on a used basis. There is so little savings with a used Blind Encoder, we always recommend a Factory New unit instead.
