| Comments: | This transponder is almost a slide-in replacement for the Terra TRT-250. It uses a different rack (about one inch deeper), but the backing plate and wiring can be transferred to the TRT-250D rack. |
| Comments: | The only wiring difference with the TRT-250 is the dimmer, which is not needed with the TRT-250D's self-dimming display. |

Product Description
Terra's TRT-250D transponder takes the all solid-state design of the TRT-250, and adds a more readable display and a number of convenience features. Like the TRT-250, the TRT-250D does not use a cavity tube. As a result, reliability is improved, and no warm-up time is needed before operation. This unit is small, lightweight, and has low power drain.

- Simultaneous display of active and standby codes
- Pushbutton code flip-flop
- Single knob code selection
- Pushbutton VFR code selection (1200)
- Mode C compatibility
- 200 watts nominal power output
- 4096 discrete codes

You may also be interested in an Encoder to use with this TRT-250D. When installed with an Encoder, the TRT-250D will report both your position and altitude to ATC (Mode C).
